The Chaja have long been the slaves and workers for the shuddeni race. They were bound in Yithoul, and bred for their brute size and strength. It was not until recently that the chaja started to break free from the restraints, and flee into the upper cities and wilderness of Avendar.
Having spent a lifetime of slavery, the Chaja are a rather dimwitted race. They are however remarkably strong and robust, which lends them to a rather limited variety of classes. The Chaja appear as large beasts, usually between six and eight feet tall, with massive upper torsos and arms. They possess dark colored skin, which is usually rather filthy and unkempt, along with milky white eyes due to their life lived under the crusts of Avendar. Having no care for their appearance, they are usually rather hairy, many letting it cover their entire bodies.
