The kankoran race is savage and brutal when it comes to protection their own kind. They are fiercely territorial and dominating in combat. They tend to shun the idea of cities and man made dwellings of stone and structure, and tend to (more often then not) live from the land and nature. Because of their ideals they have twice tried to raze the city of Earendam to the ground. While their warriors are ferocious and unyielding in combat, they can at times show a softer side of themselves.
Kankoran are a nomadic people, often found in the northern reaches of Avendar, where the climate is colder, and it tends to snow throughout the year. They travel in packs, usually organized by tartans or other similar fetishes and symbols that show their loyalty to a given pack or name.
Kankoran appear as tall humanoids, with varying colors of fur and eyes. They tend to express themselves with the movement of their ears, much like a canine would do. Despite popular belief they do not possess tails. They are normally rather robust, with large upper torsos and arms, powerful legs and thick jaws.

Kankoran tend to be excellent warriors. With the high constitution, strength and dexterity the make well rounded barbarians, and excellent gladiators. The low end intelligence and wisdom however will produce low mana gains for all templars, and swordmasters. The kankoran bard is rarely seen, as they have low intelligence and wisdom, and not a very high end charisma, which the class is dependent on.
Kankoran are vulnerable to fire, thus fire scholars and templars will normally seek them out to enjoy the higher end of their spells. On the other hand however, kankoran are resistant to cold damage, and can sustain themselves much longer in these climates then other regions.
