One of the oldest of the races found in Avendar, the srryn are believed to be the somewhat halted evolution of the lizards and snakes found within the native regions of the world. Some believe that the magical force that changed the world with the Sundering of the alatharya provided the catalyst for the rise of the srryn within the swamps and marsh lands of the world. The Saurian race still reside within the swamps of Sythtys, their lifestyle crude and not developed far more then they first days that they began to walk as bipedals.
The srryn are a cruel race by nature, often turning on one another in odd rituals and shows of dominance and strength. While some of the race have moved away from the swamps to join the cities and guilds of the world, many still cling to their ancient lifestyle. Possessing a less then intelligent mind, and a vicious nature, the srryn often find themselves in the throws of combat with other races, and their selves when one Sect tries to prove their superiority above another.
Srryn appear as tall lizard like beings. They are commonly thickly muscled, with large upper bodies and torsos, yet have much shorter legs then most races. They possess large heads, normally triangular in shape, with slits for nostrils, and snake like eyes set into the sides of their heads. They do have tails, which aid in their balance and stability. The color of their scales can very like the color of another race's hair (as srryn have none).

Tips
Due to their weakness to cold damage and inclination toward evil, srryn players are often in a state of war with water scholars and templars. Both these classes have powerful ice attacks that can quickly bring a srryn down, if the player isn't prepared for them. With similar statistics and mirrored weaknesses and resistances, this race is often considered an alternate to kankoran. Despite popular belief, srryn do not have to hiss whenever they talk.
