Syntax: cast 'teleport'

The teleport spell instantly transports the caster to almost any one of the thousands of rooms in Avendar.

Teleport is very useful for exploration, especially when used in conjunction with invisibility since it will allow the user to move through most rooms without detection by aggressive mobs. It is usually not, however, a good way to escape from a fight, as the user has no guarantee that his next location will be safer than the one he is trying to escape.

One should always be careful, however, as even with invisibility, there are many highly powerful aggressive mobiles which do detect invisibility and can be teleported onto. Srryn elders remain the classical example, especially Thenseltha, who will rob corpses in his room.

Teleport will work in some situations where word of recall fails, like when cursed. However, most areas that are primarily norecall are also flagged as being unable to teleport from. Fortunately, any place that can not be teleported out of also can not be teleported into.

Many of the more dangerous areas in the game are labeled no-teleport, so you don't have to worry about accidently teleporting into King Gogoth.
