Conjecture/Testing: Possible (untested) effects, based on the description are the ability to escape from the bard song The Price of Cowardice, and a lower chance on failing a flee. — I doubt it, at least on the price thing; thieves come with cowardly by default, and they have no more chance of getting out of Price than anyone else, I think.
